Chimney Rock Campground is more than a camping trip away, it is a campground resort with river trips leaving from our grounds! Part of what makes Chimney Rock so special is our amenities are included. We do have high-speed wifi at the rec building/office – so if you need to send an email or stream a movie on a rainy day, we’ve got you covered.

Our base rates include more amenities than you would expect from any other camping experience, including access to:

- Access to Common Spaces/Amenities: Bathhouse, Newly-Renovated Rec Building
- Access to Outdoor Amenities: Beach, Sand Volleyball, Horseshoes, ladder balls, Trails

Campsite Description

Canvas Camping Tents

Tucked down near the river (about a 5-minute walk from our shower house), our canvas camping tents offer a simple, peaceful way to experience the outdoors with just enough comfort to help you relax.

Each tent is set up and ready for you with a queen-size bed and twin bunk cot beds, so you can enjoy a good night’s sleep after a day of exploring. Outside, you’ll have your own private charcoal BBQ and a deck.

That said, these are still canvas tents. They’re meant to give you a true outdoor experience. You’ll hear the breeze, the rain, and the sounds of nature around you. They are rustic by design and closer to traditional camping than luxury glamping. If you’re looking for climate control and hotel-style amenities, these may not be the right fit, but if you’re wanting fresh air, river sounds, and a cozy place to rest your head under canvas, you’ll feel right at home.

PLEASE NOTE: These canvas tent do not come with any bedding or electricity. You will have to bring your own bedding, and lanterns. The Campsite does have a fire pit and Picnic Table for our use.

Campsite Description

This glamping luxury tent sleeps up to 4 comfortably – it is located within an easy walking distance of the bathhouse, is set within the beautiful meadow to stargaze at night, and has a great view of the woods.

With glamping all the craze, this luxury tent affords for the luxury of real furniture without the exorbitant prices. Guests get much more than just another shelter in nature; this tent is a source of lifelong memories and a sense of adventure. Its natural light creates a feeling of spaciousness, warmth, and relaxation while the nature decor will ensure you to have fun on your trip away! Enjoy nature without having to pack all of your stuff!

This luxury tent is outfitted with a queen bed, full-sized futon, and a kitchen table. Outdoors the deck is home to a charcoal grill, picnic table, firepit, and patio furniture. Now included with your rental rate, we provide Power Stations for each luxury tent – these provide basic electricity for charging phones, laptops, fans, COPD machines, and other low-powered appliances, etc. There is parking for two vehicles with overflow parking available at the bathhouse.

A space heater is also provided (heaters provided in units – bring your own 1 lb propane canisters or buy them in our store – 1 canister should get you through overnight).
